When flying to Boracay Island there is 2 boracay airports to choose from for your Boracay vacation. List below will be valuable hints on choosing the correct route to Boracay Beach. These are just simple recommendations and NOT requirements. You may here arguments on the subject and many travel agencies may reject this point of view, but it is the practical view - (The Practical Route)
Travelonline has no agenda for this view except that our clients be comfortable at all times. We don't promote unnecessary routes and recommend the most proficient route to Boracay. The route that adds more time to your precious vacation time and puts you longer on the beach.
Take a look at the map to the right. Boracay Island is clearly depicted here showing how close Caticlan Airport is from Boracay Island. The map also shows the great distance from Kalibo Airport which translates to a 2 hour plus bus ride. The Boracay Map clearly shows which airport is the - PRACTICAL CHOICE!
Boracay Airports consist of 2 Destinations which are as follows:

Caticlan Airport - Recommended Route of choice
- Flight time is shorter - Can arrive in just 35 mins.
- Transfers to Caticlan Boat Jetty only 2-5 mins travel time.
- More flights - More Choice - between all the airlines approximately 30 flights a day.
- Overall fastest route to Boracay.
- Newer planes (planes size ranging from 35 seat to 64 seat - small but new)
Kalibo Airport - NON Recommended Route
- Flight time is longer - Flight Time approximately 1 hour.
- Transfers from Kalibo to Caticlan Boat Jetty - 2 hours by bus.
- Less flights - Minimal Choice - between all the airlines approximately 2-4 flights a day. Terrible return times causing clients to loose half a day.
- Longest route taking many hours longer than the Caticlan Route.
- If bus breaks down, delay will be astronomical. Caticlan route you can easily be transferred immediately upon breakdown.
- Older planes, but bigger - 150 seat
